Spencer VanDenburg, OTR/L
Founder, President & CEO

Spencer VanDenburg became AMPS certified early in his career and saw how the assessment could inform clinical practice. When access to certification narrowed, colleagues were among the therapists who could no longer take that path.

He founded CITS to reopen and extend access without compromising the assessment's scientific foundations. His work connects education, technology and collaboration across the profession.

With nearly a decade in pediatric occupational therapy, Spencer brings a clinician's perspective to CITS. As its President and CEO, he works to keep rigorous assessment and training available to future clinicians around the world.

Our commitment

Make high-quality assessment education accessible, while respecting the rigor that gives it meaning.

Education.
Technology.
Clinical purpose.

CITS offers an official AMPS pathway, bringing learning and clinical use together:

  • Evidence-based online coursework completed at your own pace.
  • Standardized rater calibration.
  • Secure cloud tools for administering and scoring assessments.
  • Continuing support for therapists worldwide.

The goal is stronger occupation-centered practice and better patient care: helping therapists understand performance in meaningful everyday activities and apply that understanding in their work.
